Every person needs some recognition of their birthday. However certain circumstances occur that might not make that possible. A Birthday-in-a-Bag can make a birthday more special. A Birthday-in-a-Bag is a self-contained gift bag with everything you need to have a Happy Birthday party.
Items for our birthday in a bag:

- Glitter
- Birthday Hat
- GS Snack Bar
- Card
- Optional: small gift
- Bring 2 items from the list below to any meeting between now and November 3rd. We'll count how many items of each thing we have above and put the boxes together. Our goal is to have 10 complete birthday boxes.
At the November 3rd meeting we decided that we would include in the birthday boxes a $5 gift card for family's to purchase ingredients to make the cakes. The girl's voted that the cost for the gift cards would be split with themselves and the troop. This decision was made when we thought we would only have 10 birthday boxes. Last weekend one of our star GS asked for cake mix in lieu of birthday gifts (YOU ROCK CALEY!) and the very special students that I teach need extra credit so they will also be contributing to our service project. Given these new sources of materials we will have more than 10 boxes.
ReplyDeleteThe cost of gift cards for 10 birthday box families, at $5 each card, is $50. Due to a very generous donation, the gift cards for additional birthday boxes exceeding 10 will not be the responsibility of the girls or troop to cover.
